Perhaps nothing speaks more to the abilities and trustworthiness of a business than the stories of its satisfied customers.  Here is a sampling of those stories...

I am one of those people--and we are legion--who wants the computer to work as a tool any time and every time I turn it on. I don't want to know how or why it works; I just want it to do what it's supposed to do. When it doesn't, I turn to my go-to guy, Jack at Safe and Secure Computing. He knows all the technical stuff so I don't have to. He always understands exactly what I need. His rates are customer-friendly, as are his explanations. I advise you to make him YOUR go-to guy for all your computing technology needs.

It is a pleasure to deal with someone who is both competent AND ethical. There are a lot of technicians out there, but very few who don't consider themselves done until the customer is happy. Computers can be quirky with lots of variables affecting their operation. Jack will keep coming back and will stay until the job is done and he will not keep charging you if it is related to the same problem. That is a guarantee almost unheard of today. We are happy to have a person that we trust work on our computer.

I just want to thank you for your prompt and courteous response for my computer problems with spam and services. Things have improved dramatically, and I am able to enjoy the internet so much more. I certainly was not able to use it productively before. Your advise and counsel are much appreciated.

When it was time to buy a new computer, we had no idea it would be so difficult to transfer all our data and programs from one machine to the other.  Some of our programs were so old, we couldn't locate the original disks.  Other programs had come pre-installed on the old computer and we wanted to move them as well.  The old computer had no CD-writer, so getting everything copied over to the new machine was going to be extra difficult.

We called Jack (a computer nerd we've known for a very long time) to do the job.  Even after everything was transferred (a process that took three work sessions due to problems with our old computer), Jack wasn't pleased with the way things were working; and insisted on correcting every little incompatibility issue.

The new computer has been running well for months, and we didn't lose access to any old programs as a result of the transfer.  We use him for all our computer needs, including virus and spyware removal; and advice on which computers, peripherals, and software to buy.

We had Jack come over to set up our new computer for us.  At the time, he installed free versions of anti-virus and anti-spyware software to protect us from infection, but he also recommended we switch to the Mozilla browser.  I like the fact that Jack sends us an email any time a security threat is discovered that would require us to update our software.  Although we rarely experience problems anymore, it's still comforting to know that Jack is quick to respond to any request for service.

I don't know much about computers or the internet.  I called Safe and Secure Computing when my computer starting acting up and I could no longer access the sites I used to visit.  It turned out that my machine was infected by dozens of viruses and spywares, and it took nearly six hours for the infections to be cleaned out.  Jack installed anti-virus and anti-spyware programs, and switched me to the Firefox browser.  I've had to call on Jack occasionally to clear out problems caused by "risky behaviour" on my part, but overall, I trust his advice and I really appreciate that he'll be on my doorstep within minutes of receiving my call.

My husband and I have known Jacky since he was a young boy.  When we heard that he was working with personal computers, we called him to recommend a computer to buy to replace our old one.  Rather than do that, and have to transfer all our programs and data over to the new machine, he was able to determine that we didn't need a new computer... we just needed to remove all the viruses, spyware, and useless utilities that had been installed on our old computer over the years.  Once that was done, our computer worked like brand new - saving us the expense of a new computer.  There aren't many people who take the time to properly evaluate the needs of the customer, but Jacky takes the time to do it right; saving us money and aggravation.

OK, so this is a biased testimonial.  Jack is my big brother, but when my computer needs repair, he'll take the time to call me back (he says his calls are free) and talk me through my problems on the phone.  I live in Toronto, so he can't just jump in his car.  Although, just before Christmas, I had a problem so severe, it really needed an onsite visit, and he hopped on a train to come to Toronto that same day.  Don't worry, he was back home in time for the holiday!

I know his usual territory is just Windsor, but I just wanted to say what lengths he will go to to make a customer happy!

I met Jack recently, just about the time he started Safe and Secure Computing.  I called him to fix two of my computers in time for the grand opening of my own business (scheduled for the next day).  One of the computers was an old laptop which hardly worked due to a host of viruses and spyware.  The other was a desktop machine that kept power cycling.  It would barely finish turning on, when it would turn itself off and restart the entire process.  When I called Jack, I didn't even know whether the computers and their data could be salvaged.  When Jack took a look, he indicated they could be fixed, but that the repair would take around six hours.

Jack showed up in the middle of the afternoon and stayed until supper time, then he returned and kept working until the problems were fixed (around 10:30PM).  He then took it upon himself to install my new high speed internet service, and proceeded to download and install all the patches I'd never even heard about (there were 57 critical updates, plus Windows XP SP2, according to Jack).  He finally finished around 3:30AM, not asking a dime for the extra time and work; and he even returned to my business later that morning to wish me well.

I'll be recommending him to all my friends!

By the time we called on Safe and Secure Computing, our PC had been examined by a computer technician and a service tech from our internet provider.  No one seemed to be able to understand why we could not access anything on the internet; and we were finally told we'd need a new network interface card.  We would rely on Jack to steer us in the right direction and buy the right card.

When Jack arrived, he listened to our story, then went to look at the computer.  He immediately noticed that the modem had been misconnected to the wireless router.  Within a minute, the components were properly connected, and the internet service was restored.

Many technicians would have grabbed their payment and left, but Jack poked around and discovered that our computer didn't yet have Windows XP SP2, and was very far behind in its application of patches.  Jack proceeded to download the SP2 update (unfortunately, we have internet LITE) and by the time that update and the following 34 critical updates were downloaded and installed, it was five hours later!

I almost forgot... before leaving, he also configured our previously "open" wireless network for WEP security - the highest level supported by our router; and got our PSP to access and share the wireless connection.

Jack ended up charging us NOTHING for the original repair (something about having a conscience), but did charge us ONLY the standard fee for software installation, despite being at our home for a total of six hours.
