The Choose a Charity program is an ongoing service that permits charities and social service agencies with strained budgets the opportunity to
receive professional quality virus and spyware removal and prevention services for up to three computers at no charge (a maximum $597 value).
Official Rules and Conditions
1. Nominations will only be accepted by completing the official
nomination form on this site. No purchase is necessary to submit
a nomination.
PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT MULTIPLE NOMINATIONS FOR THE SAME AGENCY, AS THIS WILL HAVE NO BEARING ON THE
SELECTION PROCESS.
2. Nominations for an agency will only be accepted from residents of the City of Windsor, Ontario, Canada (see Rule 9 below) who are not
employees of the agency, nor an immediate family member of an employee of the agency. The agency being nominated must have its offices and computers to be serviced located within the
Windsor, Ontario, Canada city limits, and provide services primarily to residents of the Windsor area.
3. Safe and Secure Computing reserves the right to reject any and all nominations in any given month; and/or to cancel
this program at any time, without prior notice.
4. Personal information obtained from the nomination forms may be retained by Safe and Secure Computing for a period
not to exceed 12 months, but will not be sold or otherwise provided to third parties. All narrative information pertaining to the nominated
agency will be discarded at the end of each month. To be eligible for selection in subsequent months, an agency must be re-nominated.
5. A maximum of one agency will be selected in a given month to receive the stated services. Services offered to this agency must be
accepted as awarded, and performed within three weeks of award, or by the end of the calendar month when the award was offered, whichever comes later; at a
time mutually agreeable to the agency and Safe and Secure Computing. In order to maintain fairness
and opportunities for other agencies, any agency selected for an award is not eligible to receive another award during the next 12 months.
6. In order for the service to be awarded, both the official nominator and the selected agency's spokesperson must consent to the use of their
names and photographs, and the agency's name, address, and logo in any press release or promotional materials related to the Choose a Charity program.
7. All employees of the selected agency will be eligible to receive a one-time employee discount of 25% for any service offered by
Safe and Secure Computing within a period of 90 days from the time service is provided to the agency.
Proof of current employment will be required at the time services are delivered.
8. In the event the selected agency was nominated by more than one person, Safe and Secure Computing will use
its sole discretion to determine which person will be recognized as the official source of the nomination, and its decision will be final.
9. The person recognized as the official nominator of the agency awarded the free services will receive a complementary security audit
(a $59 value), and a 15% discount on any requested corrective services performed on the day of the audit.
This service offer must be redeemed within three weeks of award or by the end of the calendar month when the award was offered, whichever comes later;
and will only be performed on a computer located within the Windsor, Ontario, Canada city limits.
